Your Rights

GWTD is committed to protecting your civil rights, including listening to and resolving complaints about transit services.

Riders of publicly-funded transit systems in the region, including all services offered by the Greater Waterbury Transit District, have certain rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

If you feel that your rights under federal or state law have been infringed upon by transit services provided in the region, you may file a formal complaint with North East Transportation by calling (203) 753‑2538, CTtransit via this link, or the Federal Transit Administration at the following address:

Office of Civil Rights

East Building, 5th Floor, TCR1200
New Jersey Avenue, SE

Additionally, the Greater Waterbury Transit District and its staff comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, above and beyond the statutory requirements of the ADA and Title VI.
