Paratransit services are available for individuals who, typically because of disability, are unable to travel by a typical CTtransit Waterbury Division city bus. This service is intended to be used only for those trips for which riders cannot travel by the typical CTtransit Waterbury service. Paratransit operates during the same hours as CTtransit, and is operated by North East Transportation.
In Cheshire, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Prospect, Southbury, Thomaston, Waterbury, Watertown, and Wolcott, riders in any part of town may use the paratransit services operated by Northeast Transportation. Trips beginning or ending in Southbury have a more limited schedule. Riders outside of these towns may be picked up at any location within 3/4 mile of a fixed route CTtransit Waterbury bus route, which extends into portions of Beacon Falls, Bethany, and Southington. Service is also available on a limited basis to Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford.
For exact details on whether your location is eligible for paratransit services, please call North East Transportation at (203) 756‑5550.
